Rebeads® Epoxy Magnetic Beads series are long-arm epoxy-modified agarose magnetic beads.The surface is grafted with epoxy groups carrying a special 12-carbon long extended arm. These groups can efficiently bind biological ligands with amino, sulfhydryl or hydroxyl groups.

With low steric hindrance, the beads can be directly applied to the purification and detection of antibodies and proteins in downstream experiments.

Product Performance

  1. Abundant binding sites: High amine content enhances specific binding with ligands.
  2. No pre-activation required, ready for direct use; the coupling reaction can be completed within 1–2 hours.
  3. Reactions can be carried out under neutral pH and normal temperature (37 °C), with a suitable pH range of 7.0–8.5.
  4. Compatible with nucleic acid extractors to realize high-throughput and automated operation.

Applications

It can couple with proteins or small molecules containing primary amine groups, and is suitable for affinity purification of antibodies, antigens and other biomolecules.Compared with conventional carboxyl and amino magnetic beads, epoxy magnetic beads feature simple operation and mild coupling conditions.
