Magnetic Bead-Based Dried Blood Spot Genomic DNA Extraction Kit

This kit adopts the magnetic bead method to isolate and purify genomic DNA from 3×3 mm dried blood spot samples.Under high-salt conditions, DNA binds to the surface of silica-coated magnetic beads. Impure proteins and contaminants are removed through multiple washing steps, and target DNA is eluted under low-salt conditions.

Magnetic Bead-Based Genomic DNA Extraction from Dried Blood Spots — Comparison Test with Kits from Different Manufacturers

The same amount of dried blood spots (4 pieces of 3×3 mm), the same elution volume (50 μL), and the same gel loading volume (6 μL) were used for comparison among magnetic bead-based blood spot kits from different companies.

Before first use of a new kit, add the specified volume of absolute ethanol to the washing solution as labeled, and set aside for later use.

Do not freeze magnetic beads; mix the magnetic bead suspension thoroughly before use.

If RNase A or nucleic acid coprecipitant is used, store at -20 ℃, avoid repeated freezing and thawing; sub-packaging and frozen storage are recommended.
